Thornton le Dale Under 15's against Wyekham Under 15's

Thornton le Dale 95 - 2 Liam Hartass 28 retired Oliver Sigsworth 25 retired Mark Williams 24n.o J.Cox 2 -14

Wykeham 92 - 5  C Pashby 24 A Robertshaw 27 retired Mark Williams 2 - 12 Neil Eddon 3 - 18

Dale were put into bat on a damp drying wicket and Openers Liam Hartas (27 Retired) and Oliver Sigsworth (25 Retired)

got the side off to a steady start from some very tight bowling from Wyekham.

Mark Willams added 24 no. and was well supported by Jack Riley and Neil Eddon to leave Dale on 95 for 2 after their alloted 20 overs.

Wyekham got off to a shaky start as the Dale team worked well in the field, however Wyeham rallied as the mid table batting worked

hard and needed 11 runs off the last over. Mark Williams played a fine Captains role to bowl well at the end to leave

Wyekham 4 runs short of the total.

This was a good all round performance, special mention goes to Jack Riley for his outstanding display behind the Stumps.

A very good game enjoyed by both players and spectators.

Thornton le Dale 101 - 6 Liam Hartass 19 Oliver Sigsworth 22 Mark Williams 28 retired A Howard 3 - 16

Sherburn 92 - 5  A Howard 27 retired  K Deaghan 26 retired

Another good batting start by Thornton gave them a platform to win this game quite comfortably in the end.

Sherburn suffered with the blow of losing their opening bat to the first ball of their innings.

From then on the Thornton boys fielded brilliantly forcing Sherburn to get well behind the required rate.

A brilliant game that went down to the last ball. The scores were tied going into the last over and it took Thornton six balls to get there.

On reflection a tie would have been good as neither side deserved to lose. Extras were the difference as Thornton conceded 8 to Nawton's 20

A very young Thornton side gave a good account of themselves in this game.

Once again stand in captain Ollie Sigsworth played an outstanding innings in a low scoring game.

Thornton's young side can take great heart from the way in which they defended their modest total.
