Scalby got off to a flying start putting on 33 for the first wicket

The introduction of skipper Tim Hunt turned the game on it's head with a superb spell of leg spin bowling including a hat trick

Lyle King and Tim Hunt then ran superbly between the wickets to set up a comfortable win

A comfortable win for Thornton. batting first They made a formidable total against a weakened Pickering attack

Tom Norton led the way with a great allround display as he took out the top order with the ball having already blasted a very quick 26 retired

A great advert for junior cricket with two sporting and well matched sides playing to a tight finish. Thornton posted reasonable total led by skpipper Tim Hunt and the increasingly reliable Matthew Todd. In reply Wykeham struggled early on with tight bowling from Matthew Todd and Harry Stenton and at 36 - 7 Wykeham looked out of it. However great batting from M Vincent and A Robertshaw nearly pulled off an unlikely victory. Skipper Tim Hunt having to take off his wicketkeeping gloves to bowl the last over.

In reply Seamer contrributed to their own downfall with some loose shots but K Myerscough stuck to his task really well and deserved his 25 retired.
